This young adult novel is a fast paced contemporary about a high stakes competition to win the jack pot and get out of the dead end town the book is set in. I wanted to represent that sense of urgency with a high impact cover that leaps at you from the shelves. This concept design is intended to be printed with gloss UV on the text to give a strong visual hierarchy and entice the audience to read on. Strong colours and sharp contrasting graphics pack the punch that the story is raring to give you.

This cover was made in a single sitting as part of my #100bookproject where I design 100 books in as many days.
